SMC introduces PRIME Remote Control for automated micro-ohm testing
SMC launches PRIME Remote Control, a new software application developed to improve remote supervision, remote operation and test automation with compatible Prime-X00 micro-ohmmeters.
The solution is designed for electrical maintenance, commissioning and testing teams working in substations, data centers, industrial facilities, power generation plants, offshore environments and OEM test benches.
With PRIME Remote Control, users can operate compatible equipment from a connected computer, making test procedures more structured, repeatable and traceable. This capability is especially valuable for circuit breaker testing, contact resistance measurement and high-current low-resistance testing.
The application helps move from manual testing to more automated workflows, reducing operator-dependent variability and improving the quality of data obtained during medium- and high-voltage circuit breaker maintenance.
A tool for circuit breaker predictive maintenance
PRIME Remote Control adds value in applications where repeatability and historical comparison are essential, such as circuit breaker predictive maintenance, dynamic resistance measurement and the assessment of main contacts and arc contacts.
With this new application, SMC reinforces its commitment to practical solutions for advanced electrical maintenance, bringing greater efficiency, operational control and traceability to field and laboratory testing.
PRIME Remote Control is now available for demonstrations and compatibility checks with Prime-X00 equipment.
