DigiGOOSE-600 IEC 61850 GOOSE Monitoring & I/O

DigiGOOSE-600 IEC 61850 GOOSE Monitoring & I/O

GOOSE IEC-61850 Binary Interface

The DigiGOOSE-600 is a versatile binary input and output generator and monitor that enables the conversion of physical signals into IEC-61850 GOOSE messages and vice versa. Connected to a substation control bus, it allows the publishing, subscription and real-time verification of GOOSE messages for protection testing, equipment integration and commissioning in IEC-61850 environments.

Description

The DigiGOOSE is a powerful IEC 61850 GOOSE binary I/O monitor and generator, designed to convert physical signals into GOOSE messages and vice versa, enabling seamless integration between conventional relays and digital substations.

Its physical binary inputs can be independently configured to detect dry contacts or voltage presence, while its programmable binary outputs can operate in relay or open-collector mode. This flexibility allows accurate simulation and monitoring of protection schemes, breaker status, blocking commands and other critical signals.

The DigiGOOSE can operate as a stand-alone IEC 61850 device or as a direct binary I/O extension for SMC QUASAR systems, instantly expanding available inputs and outputs without additional configuration.

Configuration, monitoring and GOOSE message management are performed through the DigiGOOSE Control software, including GOOSE sniffing, manual GOOSE editing and SCL file import for fast integration into IEC 61850 environments.

CHARACTERISTICS

  • IEC 61850 GOOSE monitor and generator (physical-to-virtual and virtual-to-physical)
  • 6 configurable physical binary inputs (Dry Contact or voltage detection up to 300 V AC/DC)
  • 4 programmable binary outputs (Relay up to 8 A / 300 V or Open Collector up to 30 mA / 300 V)
