In line with this commitment, we are excited to introduce the new Quasar 3C. Despite its compact and lightweight design, the Quasar 3C offers significant functionality, connecting to the Quasar unit via the Digital Interface and LL-Outputs ports.
When used in conjunction with the Quasar, it provides 4 voltage and 6 current outputs, which can be switched to 10 current outputs. The benefits of using six current outputs instead of three when testing relays primarily relate to flexibility and efficiency.
“This flexibility allows for comprehensive testing of various relay types, including over current, differential, distance, directional, etc. The Quasar 3C together with Quasar, can output up to 35A per channel or 210A in parallel (60 A each or 360A in parallel for 3’’ max.)“
The extra current channels are also controlled by the Quasar software, which can be operated from a tablet, Smartphone, or Windows computer.
Like the Quasar unit, the 3C unit has an integral ABS casing that makes it portable and convenient to transport, only 10.5 kg in weight. It also has a field serviceable design that allows for easy replacement of plug-in modules.
